Week 1 - Research

We're currently working on figuring out the configuration of for the solar panels. As well as the structure on which the solar panels will be positioned. Solar panels, Inverters, converters and optimizers are being studied to determine the best possible setup for our battery. The software for calculating loads, cost, and cash flow used are PVsol, PVsyst and SAM.

Alberto Lopez, Spartan Superway Solar Project Team Summer 2017

Hey there, my name is Alberto Lopez and I'm currently working on a Solar Engineering project for the Spartan Superway. We're located in Downtown San Jose. This is my first internship as a Mechanical Engineer. I also enjoy programming with embedded systems, web design, robotics, Augmented Reality. Currently, I'm working on the solar engineering aspect of the project using PVsyst, PVsol and SAM. Update: An Engineer is currently assisting us in designing a Solar Panel structure that will be placed on top of The Futran System in South Africa as shown here: The Futran System
